Dr. Brown’s mission is to bring understanding and awareness to your body. She is a compassionate physician known for empowering and motivating her patients to take their health into their own hands. She is an expert in the diagnosis and conservative treatment of muscle, joint, disc, and other conditions of the human body. Dr. Brown will address your concerns, treat your concerns, and prescribe a treatment plan to help get you back to doing the things you love. Dr. Brown incorporates physical therapy and therapeutic exercises into her appointments so that her patients can get the most out of their adjustments.
Dr. Brown has been voted top in her field and listed in Portland’s Monthly Magazine Top Doctors and Nurses every year from 2018 to 2023!
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Brown’s career focused on movement as medicine. She completed her graduate studies in clinical exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation. She previously passed rigorous exams from both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. She spent 3 years researching physiological outcomes of exercise in spinal cord injuries at the University of Michigan, School of Medicine and 3 years researching exercise and health behavior change at the University of Missouri. She has also been involved, as a senior research associate, in NIH-funded research grants.
In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. She is a recreational cyclist, runner, rock climber, and former Wisconsin collegiate soccer player. She loves exploring the Portland food and drink scene and often frequents Portland's dog-friendly establishments with her pup, Leonard.
